KAYAK FOR A CAUSE AND SUPPORT CAMP DAGGETT
If you love kayaking, join the team for the 2nd annual Kayak for a Cause on Walloon Lake, Saturday and Sunday, July 24-25 supporting the Camp Daggett Adventure Center.
From 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 24-25, the Camp Daggett Adventure Center’s director, Karen Marietti, will be kayaking around Walloon Lake in a fundraising effort for the Adventure Center. Karen wants to raise awareness of the importance placed on the Full Value Agreement at Camp Daggett, which encourages individuals to work as a team, be safe and speak up. In our challenging world today,
this message is more important than ever for our youth and adults. The second goal is to raise money for programs and scholarships for participants of the Adventure Education program.
Camp Daggett invites individuals to challenge themselves by participating in the great sport of kayaking for two days on one of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan. Join the team, supply your own kayaking equipment and collect a minimum of $200 in pledges. Simply contact Karen Marietti at 347-9742 or mailto:

Residents of Walloon Lake are encouraged to support this event by purchasing and displaying a flag on their boats or docks and to kayak with the CDAC Kayak Team for one or more legs of the trip to support the Camp Daggett Adventure Center.
Kayakers will follow a specific route around the lake led by Karen, and have scheduled rest stops. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of northern Michigan and support a great cause for Camp Daggett. The 2010 Kayak for a Cause is sponsored in part by Burt Lake Marina, Walloon Lake Country Club, The Outfitter, Bahnhof Sports, and Ryde Marina.
