Lady Biker Day 9th Annual Ride-In

Every year for the past 8 years, the 3rd weekend in August, brings a familiar roar of motorcycles entering the Jordan River Valley area where lady bikers from all parts of the country come to attend Lady Biker Day.
A diverse group of lady bikers bring with them fun, excitement, a quest for learning new riding skill techniques from Riding Like a Pro Classes and a chance to lend their financial support to their favorite charity, Camp Quality of Michigan (a camp for children diagnosed with cancer).
The weekend starts out with a Friday night party on Main Street in East Jordan with the parade of bikes into town, entertainment, various contests and of course costumes that depict the theme chosen by Camp Quality.
2009 Theme for Camp Quality is “Super Heroes” with of hush-type planning going on between the clubs as to what their costumes will be.
Saturday finds the ladies gathering in our Memorial Park for a group photo at the train and blessing of their bikes before they head out for a day of scenic riding.
They return at the end of the day to gather once more for an all-out BBQ spread that includes a choice of four entrees, lots of salads, veggies, and (of course) chocolate brownies and ice cream.
On the serious side; before they leave to go back home, they present to the director of Camp Quality the funds that they have raised throughout the year and at the event. The total donations for the last few years have totaled more than $75,000.
“Always Ride Safe” is the motto for Lady Bikers that attend the event.
