Volunteer Connections extends invitation to Non-Profit Agencies

Does your non-profit agency need more volunteers? Char-Em United Way’s Volunteer Connections can help! Volunteer Connections is an online, virtual volunteer center that allows agencies and community members to come together and match their needs, skills, knowledge, and passion. Volunteer Connections will benefit your agency by engaging more volunteers thus expanding your resources.

Non-profit agencies in Charlevoix and Emmet counties are invited to attend an orientation to the online software on Thursday, October 29 at 3 PM or Friday, November 6, 2009 at 9 AM.  Interested agencies should contact the United Way office at 487-1006 or e-mail Sarah Cleary, AmeriCorps VISTA at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. At this time, Char-Em United Way is introducing Volunteer Connections to non-profit agencies. In December 2009, Volunteer Connections will be fully launched and ready for community members’ participation.
